I just finished my summer assignment. Tuesdays with Morrie was a great book.

*Life is a series of pulls back and forth. You want to do one thing, but you are bound to do something else. Something hurts you, yet you know it shouldn't. You take certain things for granted, even when you know you should never take anything for granted.

*So many people walk around with a meaningless life. The seem half-asleep, even when their busy doing things that aren't important. This is because they're chasing the wrong things. The way you get meaning into your life is to devote yourself to loving others, devote yourself to yur community around you, and devote yourself to creating something that gives you purpose and meaning.
*I give myself a good cry if i need it. But then i concentrate on all the good things still in my life. How useful would it be to put a daily limit on self-pity.
*If you've found meaning in life, you don't want to go back. You want to go forward. You want to see more, do more. You have to find what's good and true and beautiful in your life as it is now.
*People are so hungry for love that they accept substitutes. They were embracing material things and excepting a sort of hug back. But it never works. You can't substitute material things for love or gentleness or for tenderness or for a sense of comradeship.
*Do the kinds of things that come from the heart. When you do, you won't be dissatisfied, you won't be envious, you won't be longing for somebody else's things. On the contrary, you'll be overwhelmed with what comes back.

wow, im a nerd because i just typed like 29 quotes from a book....anyways, last night cafe infuse was really fun. ROCKWELL RYAN was amazing! it was good to see people i hadn't seen the entire summer. abby, nicole, brittany, and last but not least.....the jordan white! i loved how tyler knew every word of almost every song,...thanks to me for burning him the cd.
overall, a great week. school is approaching quickly, yet i feel like the summer has just begun. my parents are wanting me to watch hide and seek with them at the moment. i dont really like scary movies.
I LOVE it when my boyfriend comes to my house randomly and surprises me... but i dont love it when he gets grounded because he didn't tell his parents he was coming here. very sad....
i got pink seat covers for my car but they dont fit my weird shaped seats....
guess i'll go pee my pj's over a scary movie...ahhhhhh!
